Ezekiel 38 & 39

Whistleblower: Bin Laden was US proxy until 9/11

"In an interview last month with blogger Brad Friedman, whistleblower Sibel Edmonds dropped a bombshell when a caller asked a question about 9/11.

The former FBI translator carefully replied, “I have information about things that our government has lied to us about. I know. For example, to say that since the fall of the Soviet Union we ceased all of our intimate relationship with Bin Laden and the Taliban - those things can be proven as lies, very easily, based on the information they classified in my case, because we did carry very intimate relationship with these people, and it involves Central Asia, all the way up to September 11.”"

Methodists defeat gay-related membership policy

"United Methodists have defeated amendments that would have made church membership open to all Christians regardless of sexual orientation and furthered the creation of a new, U.S.-only governing body, according to the denomination's news service.

Delegates at the United Methodist Church's General Conference last year approved the sexual orientation amendment, as well as several others that would have changed how the international church is governed. But the amendments failed to gain support from two-thirds of the denomination's annual conferences, as required by church law. The conferences voted in May and June."

Obama's Possible FDR Type Banking Holiday?

From PZ Insider:

We have Barbara Henderson looking at "Homo-Noeticus" or the "spiritually evolved man" who of course is better than the "Homo-Sapien" man. This is the same "group think" that Hitler ushered in and allowed many to think "nothing of it" to kill 6 million Jews. Their belief was that Jews were sub-human, so what is the problem with killing all of them. This mindset is rearing it's ugly head once again.

We have Valerie Valano from Recharge Radio joining us. Valerie was the first to report on the possible FDR style banking holiday back in March 09. Now popular media is picking it up. Here is snippet from Peter Brimelow of MARKETWATCH...
"In its current issue, HSL reports rumors that "Some U.S. Embassies worldwide are being advised to purchase massive amounts of local currencies; enough to last them a year. Some embassies are being sent enormous amounts of U.S. Cash to purchase currencies from those governments, quietly. But not pound sterling. Inside the State Dept., there is a sense of sadness and foreboding that 'something' is about to happen ... Within 180 days, but could be 120-150 days."

Yes, yes, it's paranoid. But paranoids have enemies -- and the Crash of 2008 really did happen.

HSL's suspicion:
"Another FDR-style 'bank holiday' of indefinite length, perhaps soon, to let the insiders sort out the bank mess, which (despite their rosy propaganda campaign) is getting more out of their control every day. Insiders want to impose new bank rules. Widespread nationalization could result, already underway. It could also lead to a formal U.S. Dollar devaluation, as FDR did by revaluing gold (and then confiscating it)."

Russia builds key naval HQ in Syria: Missile presence worries Israel

A high-ranking Russian navy source reported July 21 that the Soviet-era naval maintenance base near Tartus in Syria is to be expanded and modernized to become 'fully operational.' DEBKAfile's military sources report that Russian is building the facility up as its main sea base for operations in four seas: The Atlantic and Indian Oceans and the Mediterranean and Red Seas. The upgrade of Russian port facilities at Tartus, its only foothold in the Mediterranean, will automatically enhance Moscow's strategic interests in Syria and Bashar Assad's regime.

'At this particular scene you could have heard a pin drop,' San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said Monday. 'No one was speaking. It was about as somber as it could have been.'

Tisha b'Av and Sovereignty on the Temple Mount By Chuck Missler

The Hebrew day of great tragedies, Tisha b'Av, falls at sundown this Wednesday, July 29. In remembrance, the Knesset has turned its focus to the Temple Mount, dominated by the al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock. While the Temple Mount is Judaism's holiest site, Jews are not permitted to worship on the mount itself for fear of inciting a riot by Muslims. Nobody would expect the Muslims to stay away from the Kaaba in order to keep peace, yet Jews must not even worship at Judaism's holiest site for fear of violence.

Health Officials Say 40 Percent of Americans Could Get Swine Flu This Year - Health Officials Say 40 Percent of Americans Could Get Swine Flu This Year

"In a disturbing new projection, health officials say up to 40 percent of Americans could get swine flu this year and next and several hundred thousand could die without a successful vaccine campaign and other measures.

The estimates by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are roughly twice the number of those who catch flu in a normal season and add greater weight to hurried efforts to get a new vaccine ready for the fall flu season.

Swine flu has already hit the United States harder than any other nation, but it has struck something of a glancing blow that's more surprising than devastating. The virus has killed about 300 Americans and experts believe it has sickened more than 1 million, comparable to a seasonal flu with the weird ability to keep spreading in the summer."

Prophecy News Watch - Biblical Prophecy in the News

A Christian doctor in England was removed from an adoption panel because she refused to endorse applications by gay couples.

Pediatrician Dr. Sheila Matthews had requested to abstain from voting in cases of same-sex couples, as she has done for the past five years. But the Northhamptonshire County Council said it decided to instead replace her on the panel because her view on gay adoption did not comply with England’s new Equality Law, as reported by U.K.’s the Daily Mail.

The Equality Law forbids discrimination against homosexuals or transsexuals in terms of access to goods and services, including adoption agencies. Under the controversial law, even religious institutions and churches are forced to hire open, practicing homosexuals."

A New Look At Ancient Cures

Rather than depending on the newest pharmaceutical drugs, researchers at the University of Pennsylvania have been getting historical in their hunt for superior medicine. They are using chemical tests to rediscover the herbs used medicinally in ancient Egypt. By studying the residue of ingredients added to wine in ancient clay jars, these researchers hope to unlock some of the medical understanding held by physicians thousands of years ago.

The Egyptians loved to write things down, and the ingredients to sought-after remedies were recorded in hieroglyphics. Unfortunately, modern Egyptologists have struggled to translate some of the specific ingredients included in these remedies. Residue from a 5,000 year old jar showed that Egyptians made use of coriander, senna, germander, balm, and savory, among other herbs. A 1,500-year-old jar included compounds that researchers believe included rosemary.
